I have to thank Ilke for finding these four images which predate my first Captain Britain work. Marvel UK's primary function was to reprint US comic books in a British style comic. This meant a 22 page book was broken down into instalments of anywhere between 2-10 pages. There were many problems inherent to this cannibalistic process but most obviously, not enough title pages.

The page borders were used to convert the first page of any instalment into a title page by slightly reducing the page to fit into the frame. As you can see from the Thor page below.
