While I have been working on the plots for my next
assignment, FANTASTIC FOUR: THE END, I decided to make
a few experiments with 'digital art'.

I had been familiarising myself with aspects of computer
colouring for some time but using photographic sources was
a new experience.
I didn't have a plan for any finished images in mind when I started.
I simply used photographs that were at hand to test the
parameters of the program-- and the limits of my very limited skills.

I must also acknowledge the huge debt I owe to an old friend and
fine artist Allan Bednar, who has helped me to get to grips with
some of the basics.

Another oddity since I rarely accept non-storytelling
commissions... But I had just started plotting
FF-THE END when Marvel asked me to help out on
this XBOX magazine cover.
