This is one of the few collaborations between my son Thomas and I. Thomas had the idea for the gag and pencilled the image-- I contributed the inks. We used the image for a personalized Christmas card some years ago in black and white. I added the colour later.
This is a series of Christmas cards I drew between 1984-1990 to send to friends and family. The ghoulish sentiment is offered as an antidote to the saccharine sentimentality used to manipulate the masses into an idiotic spending frenzy-- bah humbug!
